So what are the top cyber threats and how can Cognition Cloud help?

Device or Data Loss

Imagine your laptop or mobile device was lost or stolen.

Do you keep confidential information on there?
Would you lose work you need?

With Cognition Cloud no data is kept on the device itself, so there is no risk of it being stolen or compromised should your device fall into the wrong hands.

If you did lose your device, any work you have on it is safely stored in the Azure cloud and can still be accessed.

Outdated Patches

Constant patches are inconvenient, but necessary. Cognition Cloud takes the burden of patch management from you and ensures that your environment is regularly updated with the latest security patches. Better yet, we can install the patches outside of working hours, so your users never have to worry about turning on their machines to be faced with 15 minutes of security update before they can start their first meeting.

Ransomware

No other endpoint cyber security risk is as straightforward as ransomware. This type of malware encrypts all of the users’ files, making them inaccessible unless a ransom is paid.

The infamous WannaCry attack in 2017 spread to 150 countries and included victims like Boeing, Deutsche Bahn, FedEx, Hitachi, Honda, Nissan, O2, Renault, Taiwan’s TSMC and Vivo. It also affected government organizations in Brazil, China, India, Russia, the UK, and the US. It was able to extort over $130,000 in bitcoin payments before it was stopped.

The worst thing about ransomware is its indiscriminate effect. Unlike most attacks that deliberately target large enterprises in the hope of monetary gain, ransomware spreads like a virus and can affect virtually anyone.

How can Cognition Cloud help?

Cognition Cloud endpoints are impervious to ransomware attack. Enterprise-level security is built in. Working to minimize the risk of security incidents and vulnerabilities, Cognition Cloud uses a highly secure Linux-based operating system which is virtually impossible to manipulate and is extremely resistant to viruses and other malware. That takes the risk and challenge of detecting and responding to endpoint security breaches down to the absolute minimum.
